India's GDP grew 7.8% year-over-year in the first fiscal quarter ended June 30, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation said in a Monday release.
The growth was the same as the 7.8% expansion in the previous quarter.
The consensus forecast was for a 7.1% increase, according to Investing.com.
