Independence Gold (IGO.V) on Thursday said it found the Dixie Vein about 260 meters east of the Tommy Vein System, at the 3Ts Gold and Silver project, located in British Columbia.
Dixie marks the company's third blind vein discovery from its district-scale structural exploration model.
The Vancouver-based mineral exploration company said the discovery hole intersected at 11.40 metres with 2.80 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 12.54 g/t of silver. This included 1.99 meters grading of 6.94 g/t of gold and 25.13 g/t of silver.
The lower polymetallic zone returned 14.19 metres grading of 0.43% lead and 1.37% zinc.
Independence Gold said it found "compelling evidence" for multiple hydrothermal events and telescoping of the epithermal system from the distinct vertical metal zoning. Additional drilling has been completed along strike and below the discovery, it added.
"With approximately 10,000 meters of drilling now completed and assays still pending from several additional holes, including follow-up drilling at the Balrog, Goofy and Dixie veins, we believe the 2026 program has substantially strengthened both the geological understanding and long-term discovery potential of the 3Ts Project," said Independence Gold CEO Randy Turner.
Shares of the company were last seen unchanged at C$0.11 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
