iMetal Resources (IMR.V) appointed Michel Dufresne to its board of directors, it said Wednesday.
Dufresne has served as vice president of projects at Ivanhoe Mines Ltd (IVN.TO) and also as general manager for Falconbridge's Sudbury Mines/Mill Business Unit, said the company.
Dufresne was nominated by McFarlane Lake Mining (MLM.CN) related to its recent investment in the company, said iMetal.
"His mine-building experience, operational discipline, and record of advancing major projects add valuable depth to our board at an important stage for the company," said Chief Executive Officer Saf Dhillon. "Together with McFarlane Lake's strategic investment, his involvement strengthens the technical expertise and shareholder alignment supporting the advancement of Gowganda West and our objective of creating long-term value."
The company's shares were last seen unchanged at C$0.25 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
