Hyundai Steel, HanmiGlobal Partner to Expand Steel Technology in Construction

Hyundai Steel (KRX:004020) said it has partnered with the South Korean project management company HanmiGlobal (KRX:053690) to expand its steel business in the construction of data centers and other advanced industrial facilities, according to an Aug. 20 release.

The partnership aims to strengthen technological competitiveness in construction, including semiconductor manufacturing plants, and will provide steel structure models optimized for high-tech facilities.

The partnership will expand construction technology and strengthen competitiveness by applying construction steel materials, including fire-resistant steel and high-strength structural steel, from the design stage.

SBI Holdings (TYO:8473) plans to purchase a 20% stake in Indonesia-based online brokerage Ajaib Group for $270 million by the end of August, making the latter an equity-method affiliate, Nikkei Asia reported Friday.Ajaib offers online brokerage, foreign-exchange margin trading, cryptocurrency and asset management services.
