HPQ Silicon (HPQ.V) and its partner Novacium delivered 10 customized drone battery packs, representing a total of 30, to each of three European drone manufacturers for final evaluation, the company said on Thursday.
The current testing is the final stage before potential product qualification, HPQ said.
The drone battery packs, using Novacium's silicon-based anode technology, is designed to allow higher energy densities than conventional graphite-anode cells, a statement said.
"These three separate evaluation programs provide Novacium with an opportunity to assess its technology across different drone platforms and operating requirements," said HPQ Chief Executive Officer Bernard Tourillon.
HPQ shares were last seen up C$0.005 at C$0.14 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
