The Houthi militant claimed an attack on what they described as a Saudi military ship and four escort vessels in the Red Sea, according to a Telegram post by the group's spokesperson Yahya Saree.
"...the Yemeni Armed Forces successfully targeted a Saudi-led coalition landing ship and four accompanying warships in the Red Sea off the coast of Mocha with several ballistic missiles," Saree said in a translated statement.
"The strike was precise and direct, resulting in the complete destruction of the ship and the sinking of several of the warships, while the remaining vessels burned."
Saudi authorities have yet to confirm the incident.
Yemen's Mocha port near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait has suspended operations following recent attacks by the Houthis, which have killed seven people and resulted in $16 million in losses, media outlets reported on Saturday, citing the port director.
