Hong Kong's composite consumer price index rose 1.7% year over year in August, according to data from the Census and Statistics Department released on Wednesday.
The reading matched the 1.7% expansion in the previous month.
Netting out the effects of all government one-off relief measures, the annual underlying inflation rate was stable at 1.9% in August from July.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the average monthly rate of increase in the composite CPI was 0.2% for the three-month period ending August, the same as that for the three-month period ending July.
