Honey Badger Silver (TUF.V) on Thursday said an updated preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for its PC silver mine project in the Northwest Territories, showing the site can support a CA$667 million mine producing 10.7-million ounces for its first seven years.
The study outlined an after-tax net present value of CA$1.8 billion at an 8% discount rate, with a 38% internal rate of return and a payback period of 2.4 years, based on spot prices, the company said Thursday.
The study projected a 22-year mine life, based on a resource estimate of 11.63 million tonnes of measured and indicated resources grading 424 grams per tonne (g/t) silver equivalent, and 8.47 million tonnes of inferred resources grading 492 g/t silver equivalent.
Honey Badger said it aims to complete a feasibility study in the second quarter of 2027.
The company's shares last traded Wednesday, closing up CA$0.07, or 11%, to CA$0.70
