HJ Shipbuilding & Construction Reports Contractor Death at Seoul Facility

HJ Shipbuilding & Construction (KRX:097230) said a contract worker died after collapsing while transporting goods at Dong-Seoul Hub in Seoul on Tuesday, according to a same-day filing with the Korea Exchange.

The worker was found unconscious while performing the task and was taken to the hospital, where the person later died. The cause of death has not yet been determined, the shipbuilder said.

Police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor will conduct an on-site inspection and investigate the cause of the incident.

Shares of the company gained over 1% in recent trade.

China Southern Airlines Warns of Wider H1 Loss
