Helus Pharma (HELP) shares rose 5% on Wednesday after the company said it appointed Michael Halstead as chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Halstead was most recently the president of Intra-Cellular Therapies, according to a statement.
The appointment comes ahead of the company's planned topline Phase 3 data readout in the fourth quarter of 2026 for HLP003, an investigational candidate being developed as an adjunctive treatment for major depressive disorder, the company said.
