Hanwha Solutions (KRX:009830) has approved a 535.6 billion won or $365 million debt guarantee for its US-based subsidiary Hanwha Q CELLS USA, covering a direct pay letter of credit from Korea Development Bank's New York branch.
The guarantee, set at 120% of the principal to cover interest and costs, runs from August 2026 to August 2029 and supports the subsidiary's variable-rate demand bond financing, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.
The chemical company's total outstanding debt guarantees now stand at 9.27 trillion won, with Hanwha Q CELLS USA accounting for multiple guarantees across various maturity dates.
