Hanmi Semiconductor (KRX:042700) said it plans to acquire land and buildings in Gajwa-dong, Incheon, South Korea, from Mercury Corporation for 56 billion won, securing a new factory to cater to semiconductor equipment demand.
The semiconductor company said the acquisition is aimed at addressing equipment supply shortages following increased capital investment by global semiconductor companies, according to a Monday filing with the Korean Exchange.
The assets include 20,582.1 square meters of land and 25,694.3 square meters of buildings, with the acquisition price representing 6.89% of its total assets and scheduled to be completed on Feb. 17, 2027.
