The Gunma Bank (TYO:8334) posted a 25% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 17.6 billion yen in the fiscal first quarter from 14.1 billion yen.
The regional bank's basic earnings per share increased to 46.46 yen in the three months ended June 30 from 36.77 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Monday.
Ordinary income jumped 8.9% to 73 billion yen from 67 billion yen in the year-ago period.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company forecasts an attributable profit of 65 billion yen, EPS of 171.73 yen, and ordinary profit of 95 billion yen.
The company plans to pay a second quarter-end dividend of 35 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
