GreenFirst Forest Products (GFP.TO) reported Q2 diluted earnings per share of C$0.24 per share compared to a loss of C$0.41 per share in the prior-year period.
Net sales for the quarter ended June 27 was C$96.1 million, up from C$84.5 million in the same period last year.
GreenFirst also announced the resignation of CEO Joel Fournier effective Oct. 31. The company said it will start a search for a new CEO.
AGT Food and Ingredients (AGTF.TO) after the close on Monday said its second-quarter adjusted net earnings of C$0.12 per share, or C$8.25 million, compared to C$0.18 per share, or C$7.54 million, in the prior year period.It missed FactSet consensus of C$0.22 per share.Revenue during the quarter ended on June 30 stood at C$634.17 million up from C$623.58 in the same period last year, surpassing FactSet analysts' estimates of $572.80 million.The company also declared its second quarterly cash dividend for Q3 2026 of $0.05 per common share, payable on Oct. 15 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on Sept. 30.Shares of the company closed up C$0.01 at C$17.19 on Toronto Stock Exchange.
Allied Gold (AAUC.TO) after trade Monday said it completed its strategic investment by Zijin Gold, which was made via a private placement of 12.8-million shares at C$32.55 per share, generating gross proceeds of C$416.64 million.The company said it plans to use the net proceeds to support its growth initiatives, including operational improvements, the completion and ramp-up of Kurmuk, the phased expansion of Sadiola, increased production at the CDI Complex, and exploration across its portfolio.Following the investment, Zijin Gold owns about 9.2% of Allied's outstanding shares. Zijin Gold also has customary participation and top-up rights to maintain its ownership percentage until its stake falls below 5% on a non-diluted basis, according to the statement.Allied Gold in late July it would not go ahead with a planned sale to Zijin Gold as both companies did not foresee the agreement's conditions being satisfied by the outside date of July 29.
