Great Atlantic Resources (GR.V) started its rock geochemical sampling program at its South Quarry Tungsten property in central Newfoundland, it said in a statement on Tuesday.
The company also received an exploration approval from the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Energy and Mines, Mineral Lands Division, authorizing up to six excavator trenches and new access trails within the northern region of the South Quarry property. It plans to start trenching in early September.
The planned trenches will target areas of reported tungsten mineralization, it said.
Shares of the company were last seen unchanged at C$0.07 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
