Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google, Nvidia (NVDA) and Emerald AI said Wednesday they launched the AI Energy Management Alliance to advance flexible AI data centers that can dynamically adjust power consumption in response to grid conditions.
The alliance will promote faster interconnections for flexible data centers through colocated generation, storage and computational flexibility, while supporting policies that recognize flexible AI demand, the companies said.
The coalition includes partners across the AI, semiconductor, and power sectors, such as Amazon (AMZN)-backed Anthropic, Analog Devices (ADI), National Grid (NGG), AES (AES), Constellation Energy (CEG) and NRG Energy (NRG), according to a statement.
