Gibson Energy (GEI.TO) on Wednesday said it is renewing its normal course issuer bid (NCIB) for one year.
Gibson said the Toronto Stock Exchange accepted its plan to renew the buyback and cancel up to 7.25-million shares, or 5% of its public float.
The renewed NCIB takes effect on Sept.18.
The company said it repurchased none of an allowed 10.18-million shares under its expiring NCIB.
Gibson shares last traded Tuesday, closing down CA$0.35 to CA$31.35 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
