Growth in Germany's private sector continued to gain momentum in August, boosted by higher new business and export sales in the manufacturing sector.
The final Germany Composite PMI Output Index ticked up to a five-month high of 51.8 in August from 51.3 earlier, S&P Global said Thursday. The final reading was above the flash estimate of 51.
For the service sector, the final PMI clocked in at 49.7, compared with the initial estimate of 48.5 and the previous month's four-month high of 49.8.
