Confirming the flash estimate, Germany's annual inflation rate fell to 2.6% in May from 2.9% in April, final data from the country's Federal Statistical Office showed Friday.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices were down 0.2%, matching the preliminary reading.
The annual harmonized inflation rate for May stood at 2.7%, confirming the initial estimate and down from the prior 2.9%. Meanwhile, the harmonized consumer prices declined 0.1% month over month, consistent with the flash data.
