Oil producer Genel Energy (GENL.L) said Tuesday it is considering its position following the announcement of its peer DNO's (DNO.OL) recommended cash acquisition of Capricorn Energy (CNE.L) worth $396 million.
Capricorn Energy on Tuesday accepted DNO unit DNO Bidco's cash offer of $5.214 in cash per share held, which its directors said has a "superior value" compared with the $4.74-per-share offer made by Genel Energy's Genel Energy No.9 Ltd.
Genel advised Capricorn shareholders to take no action in response to DNO Bidco's offer in the meantime.
