Activist hedge fund Elliott Management acquired an interest in Air Liquide (AI.PA), London's Financial Times reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The unnamed sources said Elliott Management engaged with the French industrial gases company in recent weeks after building its stake.

Air Liquide and Elliott did not immediately respond to requests for comments from.

Naas Petrol Factory (SASE:9609) said Sunday that its attributable profit and revenue for the first half declined year over year.Net profit attributable to shareholders of the issuer for the six months ended June 30 was 1.6 million Saudi riyals, compared with 2.9 million riyals earlier.
