Fujian Longking Unit to Invest $55 Million in Guyana Gold Mine Solar-Storage Project

Fujian Longking (SHA:600388) unit Zijin Longking Environmental Protection New Energy plans to invest about $55.2 million to build a solar and energy-storage project at the Aurora gold mine in Guyana.

The project will comprise 45 megawatts peak of solar capacity and a 50-megawatt/100-megawatt-hour energy-storage system, according to a Wednesday Shanghai bourse filing.

The construction is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2027.

The project is expected to operate for 30 years and generate about 61.76 million kilowatt-hours annually.

The investment is subject to overseas direct investment registration and other approvals, it said.

Carimin Petroleum Raises Stake in Sealink International to 25.3%

Carimin Petroleum (KLSE:CARIMIN) acquired a 5.8% stake in Sealink International (KLSE:SEALINK) for 9.9 million ringgit in cash, according to a Tuesday filing with Bursa Malaysia.The acquisition involved 29.1 million shares bought at 0.34 ringgit each, between Sept. 18 and Sept. 22.Following the acquisition, Carimin's stake in Sealink rose to 25.3% from 19.5%, making Sealink an associate company.Carimin Petroleum said the acquisition was part of its ongoing investment strategy.The deal was funded through internally generated funds and does not require shareholder or regulatory approval, the filing said.
