Friedrich Vorwerk Group (VH2.F) said Wednesday its Arge joint venture secured the contract worth double-digit millions of euros to build a hydrogen pipeline in Germany for the Ewe Group.
The 24-kilometer H2Coastlink 1 pipeline will connect an under-development 320-megawatt production plant in Emden to a hydrogen infrastructure being built in the other German town of Leer, the listed energy infrastructure company noted.
Preparatory work for the pipeline is planned for as early as summer 2026, with start of operations targeted for autumn 2027. German utility company Ewe Netz is the general contractor for the project, which will be handed over to its affiliate, the transmission system operator GTG Nord, upon completion.
