France's business climate indicator edged up to 94 in June from the revised 93.3 in May, according to data from the country's statistical agency Insee published Tuesday.
The latest reading, which missed the market forecast of 95, moved closer to the index's long-term average of 100.
For the manufacturing sector alone, the index came in at 100, against the prior reading of 102.3 and the consensus estimate of 101.
