As expected, France's annual inflation rate climbed to 2.4% in August, from 2.1% in July, final data from statistics agency Insee showed Tuesday.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices were 0.7% higher, in line with the flash estimate and compared with the prior 0.6% gain.
The annual harmonized inflation rate rose to 2.6% from 2.4%, against the preliminary reading of 2.7%. Month over month, harmonized consumer prices was up 0.7%, compared with the previous 0.6% uptick and the flash figure of 0.8% growth.
