As expected, France's annual inflation rate rose to 2.4% in May from 2.2% in April, final data from statistics agency Insee showed Friday.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices were 0.1% higher, consistent with the flash estimate, and easing from the prior 1% increase.
The annual harmonized inflation rate climbed to 2.8% from 2.5%, matching the preliminary reading. Month over month, harmonized consumer prices edged up 0.1%, as expected, compared with the previous 1.2% increase.
