Fredonia Mining (FRED.V), on behalf of itself and a syndicate of underwriters, entered into an agreement with ATB Cormark Capital Markets in connection with a "bought deal" private placement for about CA$10 million, it said in a statement on Monday.
The offering will include the sale of 15.4-million common shares at CA$0.65 apiece. The company granted the underwriters an option to increase the size of the offering to raise additional proceeds of up to CA$1.5 million.
Proceeds will be used for the exploration and advancement of its El Dorado Monserrat Project in Santa Cruz province, Argentina, and for general corporate and working capital needs, it said.
Shares of the company were last seen down 6.9% at CA$0.68 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
