Ford Motor (F) is in contract negotiations with Unifor that is seeking higher pay and retirement benefits for its members, the Canadian union said in a Sunday statement.
The negotiations are taking place at the Sheraton Centre Toronto with a July 10 deadline to reach a tentative agreement, according to a statement.
The union stated that the negotiations are taking place when US tariffs on Canada-manufactured vehicles and components have created uncertainty for autoworkers and automakers.
Ford did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
