First Sponsor Swings to Loss in H1 as Revenue Drops 11%

First Sponsor Group (SGX:ADN) swung to an attributable loss of SG$92.8 million in the first half compared with a profit of nearly SG$19 million a year earlier.

The investment holdings company's loss per share was SG$0.0874, compared with earnings per share of SG$0.0116 a year earlier, according to a Singapore Exchange filing on Monday.

Revenue declined 11% to SG$136.7 million from SG$153.9 million.

The company declared a dividend of SG$0.011 Singapore cents per ordinary share, payable from Sept. 25.

Horizon Gold Identifies High-Grade Gold Mineralization at Three Deposits in Western Australia Project, Shares Up 3%

Horizon Gold (ASX:HRN) identified high-grade gold mineralization during recent drilling at its Gum Creek gold project's Kingfisher, Hawk and Swan deposits in Western Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.The results were up to 23 meters at 5.26 grams per tonne gold from 188 meters, including 15 meters at 7.65 grams per tonne gold.Follow-up reverse circulation and diamond drilling is being planned at all three prospects, with diamond and reverse circulation drilling continuing across the Gum Creek project area, the filing added.The company's shares rose 3% in recent Monday trade.
