France's private sector activity slipped deeper into contraction in August amid broad-based demand weakness and a sharper decline in the services economy, final data from S&P Global showed Thursday.
The S&P Global France Composite PMI Output Index came in at 48.5 in August, below the flash estimate of 48.8 and down from 49.4 in July.
Meanwhile, the services PMI came in at 48, down from the previous month's 49.6 and the preliminary reading of 48.4.
