The eurozone's manufacturing activity strengthened in August 2026 as both output and new orders expanded at the fastest pace since early 2022, while inflation softened, according to final data from S&P Global published Tuesday.
The S&P Global Eurozone Manufacturing PMI rose to a 51-month high of 52.7 in August, compared with the previous 51.9 and the flash estimate of 52.8. The reading was also supported by a rise in purchasing activity growth and business morale.
