Fiera Capital's (FSZ.TO) second-quarter adjusted earnings fell 13% year over year, to C$0.21 per share, from C$0.24 per share, the company said on Friday.
The result fell short of the consensus analyst expectation of C$0.24 per share, according to FactSet. Fiera said the prior year quarter had benefited from a C$12.5 million gain on an investment revaluation.
The asset-management firm said total revenue declined 4.8% to C$155.1 million over the same period, which missed the C$161.7 million that analysts had expected.
Total assets under management at the end of the quarter edged up 1.9% to C$163.5 billion, from C$160.5 billion.
Fiera Capital will pay a quarterly dividend of C$0.108 per share on Sept. 17 to shareholders of record on Aug. 20.
The company's shares closed down C$0.03 to C$5.07 on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Thursday.
