Felix Gold Begins Extraction, Stockpiling of Stibnite Vein Material at Alaska Project

Felix Gold (ASX:FXG) began extraction and stockpiling of high-grade massive stibnite vein material at the Treasure Creek antimony project in Alaska, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

Around 30 tonnes of high-grade massive stibnite vein material were extracted under approved bulk sample permit operations.

Operations at the project are being undertaken by a combined exploration and bulk sampling team, with activities including trenching to expose and track mineralized structures, bulk sampling and stockpiling of antimony ore, access road establishment, drill site preparation, and workforce training.

Optiscan Imaging Says Half of Target Patients Imaged in Human Breast Cancer Imaging Study

Optiscan Imaging (ASX:OIL) said 25 of the target 50 patients were imaged in its first in-human breast cancer imaging study at Royal Melbourne Hospital in Victoria, reaching a halfway mark milestone, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.The study is assessing surgical margins in breast cancer patients undergoing lumpectomy procedures using the InVue precision surgery imaging device for in vivo imaging and the InForm digital pathology imaging device for ex vivo imaging, per the filing.InVue is used intraoperatively in the resection cavity to generate live in vivo images immediately after tumor removal, while InForm is used to analyze the excised tissue.Clinical readouts of the analyzed cases to date show nine with clear margins, four with narrowly clear margins, and five with involved margins, the company said. There were no reported adverse events related to intravenous sodium fluorescein contrast agent injections.The study was expanded to a second clinical site to accelerate recruitment.

IperionX Reports Net Present Value of $813 Million for US Critical Minerals Project in Definitive Feasibility Study

IperionX (ASX:IPX) said its definitive feasibility study for its Titan Critical Minerals Project in the US has returned an after-tax net present value of $813 million at an 8% discount rate, an after-tax internal rate of return of 39%, and an after-tax payback period of 3.6 years, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.The company said the study forecasts life-of-mine earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $2.8 billion and after-tax free cash flow of $1.9 billion over an initial 14-year mine plan. The project is supported by a phase 1 development capital of $228.1 million and phase 2 incremental capital of $153.2 million, for total development capital of $381.3 million.Ore reserves stand at 117 million tons at 3.2% total heavy mineral (THM), containing 3.7 million tons of THM with about 80% classified as proved, the filing added.Phase 2 annual production is forecast at about 5,287 tonnes of heavy rare earth concentrate (HREC); 118,658 tonnes of ilmenite; 24,656 tonnes of rutile; and 65,668 tonnes of zircon concentrate, the filing said.The HREC contains strategically important heavy rare earths dysprosium, terbium and yttrium vital for US supply chains for high-performance magnets, defense, aerospace and semiconductor applications, it added.
