Fairfax India (FIH-U.TO), through its unit, FIH Mauritius Investments, entered into an investment agreement with IIFL Capital Services and its existing promoters pursuant to which Fairfax India, through a combination of deals, will increase its ownership interest in IIFL Capital, it said Thursday.
Shares of the company closed up 1.1% to $18 on Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
