Analysts expected a 0.2% growth.
On a yearly basis, the eurozone economy grew by 0.8% during the quarter, against the previous 1.3% gain including Bulgaria, which joined the currency union in January, and 1.2% rise, excluding it. The consensus estimate was a 0.9% increase.
