The euro area's seasonally adjusted current account surplus declined to 15 billion euros in March from the revised 26 billion euros in the previous month, European Central Bank data showed Thursday.
The consensus estimate for the month stood at 25.3 billion euros.
In the 12 months to March, the bloc's current account surplus totaled 275 billion euros, against 368 billion euros a year earlier.
