Erdene Resource Development (ERD.TO) entered into an automatic securities purchase plan (ASPP) related to its normal course issuer bid (NCIB), it said in a statement on Wednesday.
The ASPP, once effective, will allow for the purchase of common shares under the bid at times when Erdene normally would not be active in the market due to applicable regulatory restrictions or internal trading blackout periods, it said. The company may buy back up to 4.9-million of its common shares for cancellation under the NCIB.
Shares of the company closed down 0.3% to CA$6.52 on Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
