Norway's Equinor (EQNR) and Uniper have signed a 15-year natural gas sales agreement for Germany, under which Equinor will supply over 30 terawatt-hours about 2.8 billion cubic metre of natural gas annually, the Norwegian energy giant said on Monday.
Supplies are scheduled to run from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2041, with delivery executed at the Trading Hub Europe market area, Equinor said.
While commercial pricing terms remain confidential, the agreement will strictly reflect prevailing market conditions.
Germany represents Equinor's largest natural gas market and has served as an anchor destination for Norwegian gas exports since 1977, according to the statement.
Additionally, both companies have signed a non-binding letter of intent to explore the potential sale of third-party verified, sustainability-related attributes.
