Evolution Petroleum (EPM) has closed the acquisition of mineral and royalty interests in the core Midland Basin of the Permian Basin for $16 million, the company said Thursday.The acquisition, which is expected to more than double daily production from the assets by the end of fiscal 2029, covers around 3,420 net royalty acres.

Icahn Enterprises (IEP) and Mavis Tire Express Services said Thursday that a subsidiary of Mavis completed its previously announced acquisition of The Pep Boys-Manny, Moe & Jack from Icahn Automotive Group for about $700 million in cash.Pep Boys will retain its brand identity as part of the Mavis family of brands.Icahn Enterprises retained the real estate previously transferred from Pep Boys, as well as the AAMCO Transmissions and Precision Tune Auto Care businesses, the companies said.

Yemen's Houthis Claim Drone Strike on Saudi Aramco Facility
Yemen's Houthis said they conducted two drone strikes targeting Saudi Arabian Oil Co's (SASE:2222), d/b/a Saudi Aramco's, facility in Najran and the Najran airport.The Iran-aligned group's military spokesperson Yahya Saree said in a Telegram post on Thursday that the attacks were in retaliation for Saudi Arabia's alleged violation of Saada's airspace with its drones.Aramco did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
