Equinor (EQNR.OL) decided to terminate its offshore wind business operations in Japan and close its office in Tokyo by the end of 2026.
The plans reflect the Norwegian energy company's reassessment of its strategy to focus on expanding its integrated power business, according to the company's website.
Despite ending its presence in Japan, Equinor said it will continue to partner with Japanese companies in technology development, commodities, capital markets, and across the supply chain.
