Eisai's (TYO:4523) net profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped 26% to 18.2 billion yen in the fiscal first quarter from 14.5 billion yen a year earlier.
The drugmaker's basic earnings per share increased to 64.71 yen from 51.35 yen a year ago, according to a Monday Tokyo Stock Exchange filing.
Revenue climbed 16% to 234.3 billion yen in the three months ended June 30 from 202.7 billion yen in the prior-year period.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects revenue of 883.5 billion yen and basic earnings per share of 185.00 yen.
