Echo IQ (ASX:EIQ) struck a research collaboration agreement with Mayo Clinic to evaluate the ability of Echo's proprietary artificial intelligence platform to estimate cardiac risk in cancer patients, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The research will assess the platform's ability to generate predictive risk scores for heart failure based on echocardiogram data for oncology patients.
The study will also aims to assess the applicability of the AI platform in a "large and clinically important patient population beyond its current cardiovascular applications," the company said.
