Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (NSE:DRREDDY, BOM:500124) said commercial supplies of its semaglutide product will be delayed for some time after certain batches failed quality specifications due to an issue linked to the active pharmaceutical ingredient.
The company is probing the root cause and taking corrective measures, according to an Indian bourse filing on Thursday. There is no impact on patient safety or existing global regulatory filings, the company said in the filing.
Shares of the company plunged 6% in recent trade.
