Dover's Plant Move Miscue Overshadows Q2 Bookings Growth, RBC Capital Markets Says

By

Dover (DOV) delivered a modest Q2 operating beat despite a one-time choppy plant consolidation that caused revenue and margin shortfall in the Climate & Sustainability Technologies segment, RBC Capital Markets said in a note Thursday.

This operational miscue overshadowed a "healthy" 16% bookings growth, the investment firm said.

The firm highlighted Dover's raised 2026 adjusted earnings per share and revenue outlook, although the company's revised EPS midpoint is still below consensus estimates.

Meanwhile, Dover's mix is improving as about 25% of its revenue is now linked to key secular growth platforms like energy transition, power, AI infrastructure, biopharma and medical, semiconductors, and space, according to the note.

RBC kept its sector perform rating on Dover and lowered the price target to $227 from $252.

Shares of Dover were up more than 3% in Friday trading.
