Dollar General, Instacart Agree on Same-Day Delivery Partnership

Dollar General (DG) and Maplebear (CART), which does business as Instacart, agreed on a new partnership to offer same-day delivery of Dollar General products through Instacart, the companies said Wednesday.

No financial terms were disclosed.

The delivery partnership will start with a pilot covering about 7,000 Dollar General and pOpshelf stores in six states over the coming weeks and potentially expand to around 20,000 stores across 48 states this fall, the companies added.

Spire Global Wins $33.2 Million NOAA Contract for Satellite Weather Data

Spire Global (SPIR) won a $33.2 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to deliver global navigation satellite system radio occultation data to enhance weather forecasting.The data will feed NOAA's prediction models and support weather forecasting, space weather applications, and research by scientific organizations, Spire said Tuesday in a statement.The two-year contract, which starts Dec. 1, includes additional unfunded surge-buy options that may raise the total value to $66 million if fully exercised, the company said.Spire shares rose 2.2% in after-hours trading.
