Discovery Mining (DSV.TO) said results from its exploration program at Pamour Mine in Ontario have identified a mineralization system.
The system runs over a 4-kilometer stretch at depths ranging from 300 meters to 700 meters, and remains open. the company said Tuesday.
Exploration results from the 47 holes are also expanding mineral resources estimates in all three phases of the current open-pit mine plan and returned high-grade intersections at new targets close to the existing resource.
"Today's results clearly demonstrate that Pamour is a large-scale deposit that has the potential for significant growth supported by our plans to increase milling capacity, following the acquisition of the Kidd Metallurgical Site, and for a mine redesign to achieve higher levels of production," said Chief Executive Tony Makuch.
Discovery Mining is undertaking a 255,000-meter to 285,000-meter exploration program at Pamour this year.
