Diana Shipping (DSX) said Monday that it has signed a time charter contract with Fednav International for its Ultramax dry bulk vessel DSI Pegasus.
The company said the gross charter rate is $18,350 per day, less a 5% commission paid to third parties.
The charter is expected to begin July 27 and will run through minimum Aug. 15, 2027, and up to maximum Oct. 15, 2027, generating gross revenue of about $6.95 million for the minimum charter period, Diana Shipping said.
The ship is currently chartered to Cargill Ocean Transportation at a gross charter rate of $14,250 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties, the company said.
Shares of Diana Shipping were up 1.7% in Monday trading.
