Devonian Health Group (GSD.V) has received Health Canada approval for a phase 2/3 study evaluating its Thykamine cream to treat mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis in children, the company said Tuesday.
The approval for the 12-week trial covers about 306 patients ranging from 3 months through to 17-year-olds.
The trial's primary endpoint is assessing the effectiveness of Thykamine in two concentrations, compared with placebo after 12 weeks of twice-daily treatment.
Shares in the drug company dropped 5.7% to C$8.49 recently on the TSX Venture Exchange.
