Dai-ichi Life (TYO:8750) said its wholly owned New Zealand unit, Partners Group Holdings, has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire life insurer Fidelity Life Assurance Co. for NZ$630 million, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Thursday.
The Auckland-based unit said the transaction, subject to regulatory approvals and other authorizations, is scheduled to close between March 2027 and July 2027.
Following the transaction, the unit will acquire all 4.5 million shares in Fidelity Life.
