Curaleaf Says Aurora Offer Gives Shareholders "Meaningful" Future Upside

By

Curaleaf (CURA.TO) on Wednesday reiterated its statement that its hostile offer to acquire Aurora Cannabis (ACB.TO) shares for an offer price of $4.00 and capped at $5.00 each offers a "meaningful" future upside.

Aurora shareholders would be able to realize immediate value and participate in the growth of a much larger, more diversified cannabis platform, Curaleaf added.

It was responding to statements made by Aurora earlier today where it urged shareholders to reject Curaleaf's offer, describing the bid as "hostile" and "inadequate", and one which aimed to capture Aurora's assets at a discount.

Curaleaf shares were last seen up C$0.20 to C$13.86, while Aurora Cannabis shares were up C$0.02 to C$5.62.
